Land/People Acknowledgement
Kawisente McGregor
This reparation fund is part of a life-giving system; with sadness, gratitude and humility, Restory Kinship programs remembers and honors the original people of the place we now call home. We are committed to giving back to BIPOC peoples and land justice efforts through a reparation fund. For all programs from September 2025 to June 2026, a portion of the proceeds will go to Kawisente McGregor of the Kahnawake native reserve in Quebec, Canada. Kawisente is a mother, grandmother, and traditional chief of the Kahnawake Bear Clan. Kawisente is a long-time supporter of nature connection programs at the native reserve she calls home, where she is a site director for the Coyote Programs Camp. These proceeds will contribute to the tending of her land, helping to ensure she can continue doing the meaningful work she does with kids, people of all ages, and the natural world.
